Infusion Therapy
The medical team at Infectious Disease Physicians, P.A., offers convenient, in-office infusion therapy. They provide all medications, and in some cases will teach patients and family members how to administer their own therapy in the comfort of their own homes. Appointments are made based on the IV infusion therapy, and a nurse is always in the IV room to help monitor your progress and draw labs if required. An IV therapy nurse is also available 24/7 via telephone if needed.
You can help prepare for your infusion therapy by:
- Staying hydrated
- Wearing loose-fitting clothes
- Bringing a complete list of current medications
- Making an appointment to meet your doctor before therapy begins
- Making a list of questions
IV Therapy Management
Your infusion therapy management will be handled by Board Certified doctors, high tech nurse and pharmacist on premises. The course of your IV infusion therapy may include:
- IV Anti-Infectives
- IV Immunolglubulin (IVIG)
- Remicade®
- Other Injectable and Infusible Drugs
